Guinness Book of World Records
The long holder of the most successful entertainment launch in history was Grand Theft Auto IV. GTAIV grossed $310 million in its first day of release. However, recently a new leader has emerged. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has become the most successful entertainment launch in history. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, Modern Warfare 2 grossed $401.6 million in its first day of release. Over 50,000 players play each day on both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 over many different countries including the United States, Great Britain, Scotland, Germany, Poland, Russia, and Ireland.

Wow Kevin, you sound like a video game addict; laughing out loud. You do know your video games though. Are there really all those new perks and weaponry in the new Call of Duty. I have yet to play it. I'm still addicted to the first Modern Warfare. Thanks for the informative information.
